Hike in the Footsteps of the Sámi
Join our guide on a historical hike through the mountains, where you will learn more about Sámi life, culture, and their connection to the landscape. We follow old trails used for generations — from hunting grounds to summer settlements — and stop at places rich with stories.
In close collaboration with Renbiten, you will hear about reindeer herding, seasonal living, and how Sámi heritage continues to thrive today. It is a gentle hike where the focus is on the stories rather than the steps.
Practical information
Price: SEK 1,550 per person, including a traditional Sámi lunch and a meeting with reindeer at the local corral.
When: Mondays during weeks 28–31, 35, and 38–39
Distance: approx. 8 km
Duration: approx. 5 hours including breaks
Difficulty: Medium (gently rolling terrain, sometimes uneven ground, simple ascents. Suitable for those with average fitness.)
Bring: water bottle, good shoes, and preferably a curious mind

Together with our knowledgeable guide, you will gain insight into what life in the mountains has been like, and how the Sámi legacy still lives on today, especially in the deep respect for nature and the rhythm of the seasons.
