Grövel Tour 5 (GT5)
GT5 – Round trip Jotli–Storsätra Fjällhotel–Olån–Lövknulen–Valdalsbygget parking lot–Dyllen–Storsätra Fjällhotel–Jotli
A scenic round trip of approximately 11.6 km that combines mountain forests, watercourses and viewpoints. From the mountain farm Jotli, the trail goes past Storsätra Fjällhotell and on to Olån. From here, the hike continues relatively flat to the Valdalsbygget parking lot along Elgåvägen. Then there is a short climb up towards Dyllen before the trail turns down towards Storsätra Fjällhotell and back to Jotli. A reasonable day trip with nice contrasts between forest, mountains and cultural environments.
💡 Tip: Feel free to extend the tour with a detour to the historic farm environment Valdalsbygget.
Length: about 11.6 km
Difficulty: 3/5 (Medium – mostly easy trail with some climbing and varied terrain; suitable for those with normal fitness and some hiking experience)
